Tyrone Arrington is a military Flight Instructor stationed in Milton, FL. There, he instructs future Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Navy Pilots. Instruction includes; Basic Contact, Instrumentation, Aerobatics, and Formation flying. Before this tour, Tyrone was a Fleet Flight Instructor, Mission Commander, Aircraft Commander, and Maintenance Quality Assurance Officer for Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron 1 (VQ-1). Tyrone has served and led crews in countries across the world.
Born on January 7, 1988 to Raymond and Dorthenia Arrington in Jacksonville, NC. Tyrone attended South West High School in Jacksonville. There, Tyrone was a member of the National Honor Society and nominated for North Carolina’s High School Heisman Award. After winning multiple State Championships in football, he earned a football and academic scholarship. After three years, Tyrone received his degree in Psychology with a Minor in Theater Arts from Brevard College.
Upon graduating college in 2009, Tyrone went back home to coach his high school football team where he led them to multiple Conference Titles. He also worked in sales for Nissan and Infiniti as a sales consultant, which led to a transition to sales management. After 4 years, Tyrone started his quest to become a Military Officer. Tyrone received his commission in 2014 from Officer Candidate School, RI.
While serving, Tyrone’s Military decorations include: The Air Medal, Navy & Marine Achievement Medal, Navy Battle E Ribbon, National Defense Medal, War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, War on Terrorism Service Medal, Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and the Navy Marksmanship ribbons. He is the business owner of Chubbs Hauling Services LLC located in NC. Tyrone’s activities and hobbies include Real Estate, Trucking, Motivational Speaking, and spending time with family.
