Acceptance of any contribution, gift or grant is at the discretion of the General Daniel Chappie James Flight Academy, Inc. The General Daniel Chappie James Flight Academy, Inc. will not accept any gift unless it can be used or expended consistently with the purpose and mission of the General Daniel Chappie James Flight Academy, Inc.

No irrevocable gift, whether outright or life-income in character, will be accepted if under any reasonable set of circumstances, the gift would jeopardize the donor’s financial security.

The General Daniel Chappie James Flight Academy, Inc. will refrain from providing advice about the tax or other treatment of gifts and will encourage donors to seek guidance from their own professional advisers to assist them in the process of making their donation.

General Daniel Chappie James Flight Academy, Inc. will accept donations of cash or publicly traded securities. Gifts of in-kind services will be accepted at the discretion of the General Daniel Chappie James Flight Academy, Inc.

Certain other gifts, real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities, and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some manner, must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to the special obligations raised or liabilities they may pose for General Daniel Chappie James Flight Academy, Inc.

Eric Myers

Director of Operations & Education

Eric L. Myers is a Manager at Florida Power & Light (FPL), where he leads the Energy Services and Back-up Generation Businesses across the FPL territory. With over seven years of experience on the Energy Services team, Eric develops and executes comprehensive turn-key energy efficiency, resiliency, and reliability projects for federal, state, municipal, university, school, and hospital customers throughout Florida.

Before joining FPL, Eric served as a Distribution Field Engineer at Mississippi Power for four years. In that role, he led a team of engineers in the design, planning, and execution of new business, reliability, smart grid, and power quality projects in Meridian, MS.

Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi State University. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida, a Six Sigma Green Belt, and a Certified Energy Manager. His professional affiliations include board memberships with the United Way of West Florida and the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers. Eric is also an active member of the Life Changing Experience Worship Center Church.

In his free time, Eric enjoys spending quality moments with his beautiful wife of 12 years and their two lovely daughters, aged nine and three.
