ABOUT US

Our Mission

We use aviation as a gateway to inspire youth to pursue excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), leadership, and character development through after-school, weekend, and summer programs.

Our Vision

A community where every student, regardless of background, has access to aviation education, confidence-building experiences, and opportunities that can shape their future.

Founded in 1996 by four Pensacola Naval Flight Instructors, the Chappie James Flight Academy was created to give back to youth through aviation, mentorship, and educational opportunity. Now approaching 30 years of service, the Academy continues to inspire students through hands-on STEM learning and guidance from experienced aviation professionals.

Who We Serve

We welcome students from 4th grade through high school who are curious, motivated, and eager to learn about aviation, engineering, or technology.
