Tim McGuire Captain, USCG (Ret)

Captain McGuire is a native of Elizabeth, NJ.  He graduated from Seton Hall University in 1981 and was Commissioned a 2ndLT in the USMC in Aug 1981.  He was then designated a Naval Aviator in 1983.

After nearly 9 years of service in the USMC flying the CH-53 Helicopter, he transitioned to the USCG in April of 1990.  After tours in the HH65 and the HU-25, He became the 3rd Coast Guard Commanding Officer of a Navy Training Sqd when he took command of VT-2 at NAS Whiting Field, Milton, FL instructing in the T34.  He retired in 2015 as the USCG’s Liaison to Naval Flight Training at NAS Pensacola, FL flying the T6B.

He holds a Masters’s Degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and an Aviation Safety Program Certification from the University of Southern California.

He retired with over 6,000 military flight hours in fixed and rotary wing aircraft.   He currently resides in Pensacola.
